SIGN UP FOR OUR Kenneth Tencio, better known in Costa Rica as “Pollis” is the currently the country’s best BMX rider and has represented the country in different competitions worldwide; this week he will be competing in the UCI BMX Freestyle competition at the FISE (Festivale International des Sports Extremes) World Series in Montpellier, France.
Tencio has had a very busy 2017 having already participated in competitions in the Simple Session in Estonia, the Ultimate X in South Africa, inaugurating his own skatepark in Jacó, taking part and winning in the X-Knights and more recently battling to earn his classification to the Nitro World Games, which he achieved successfully and managed a third position.
Now he is off to France, where he is ranked in the ninth position; Tencio is going against tough competitors, among them: Logan Martin from Australia; Daniel Dhers from Venezuela; Nick Bruce and Colton Walker both from the United States; Alex Colborn from UK, to mention a few.
The FISE started this Wednesday, May 24 and will extend through Sunday, May 28, this competition gathers athletes in different disciplines including BMX, Roller skating, skateboarding, wakeboarding and MTB; it is considered one of the best extreme sports events.
Competition days for Tencio in the BMX Freestyle category will begin Friday.
Getting past this challenge the Costa Rican will be heading to Salt Lake City, UT, USA for the Nitro World Games that are scheduled to begin June 24th.
