Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas was designated as the best soccer placer of the Confederation of the North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF).

Navas has had one of the best years of his professional career, winning with his team, the Real Madrid the Spanish League, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup also the European Super Cup; he also received nominations for the The Best FIFA Football Awards and the FIFPro World XI.

“I want to thank you for the opportunity of winning this award, I want to thank all those who voted for me to make this a reality, this is a great motivation for my career and my life and it makes me very proud”, stated Navas in a video posted by CONCACAF in social media.

The votes were submitted by the captains of different national teams, trainers and fans.

31-year-old Navas has accumulated 10 titles since his arrival to Real Madrid in 2014.

“I am blessed. Since I arrived at Real Madrid I came with the dream of winning titles. I wanted to write my own story. Being able to say that I have 10 titles is a privilege and a blessing. I hope a lot more will come”, stated Navas to Real Madrid TV after winning the Club World Cup.

He was also recognized as the Best Latin American Soccer Player by EFE.

The movie “Hombre de Fe” (Man of Faith) based on Keylor Navas’ life will be premiered December 28.
