The trailer of the movie “Man of Faith” based on the life of Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas was released today in a local press conference.

Man of Faith begins with the voice over of ESPN’ sports commentator David Faitelson:

“Today is a historic day for Costa Rica. Today Keylor Navas shapes up to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world. For the first time a Tico wears the Real Madrid jersey”.

The movie goes through Navas’ life and career, from his childhood years in the small community of Pérez Zeledón, and his first steps in the little league soccer team, his journey as part of one of Costa Rica’s largest teams, Saprissa; of course his crucial role with Costa Rica’s National Soccer Team “La Sele” and his arrival in Spain’s Albacete and currently Real Madrid.

Navas is currently nominated to the FIFPro World XI and The Best FIFA Football Awards.
The role of young Keylor Navas in interpreted by José David Coste; in total the shooting of the movie required 64 days, 59 in Costa Rica and 5 in Spain, it is currently in the stage of post-production and will be released December 22.
